Dr. Hossein Simaee Sarraf, Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology, who traveled to Turkey to attend the Modern Educational Technologies Conference, concurrently with the Ashura rituals, attended the gathering of Shiites and devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) at Zeynebiye in Istanbul and delivered a speech among the Husayni mourners.

At this spiritual ceremony, which was held with the presence of the lovers and devotees of Imam Husayn (a.s.), he mourned alongside the Husayni mourners and witnessed firsthand the expressions of devotion and attachment of the participants to the culture of Ashura and the school of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

Zeynebiye in Istanbul is considered one of the well-known centers for the gathering and holding of Shiite religious occasions, especially during Muharram and Ashura.

This event included elegy recitation, religious speeches, chest-beating, and a congregation of mourners. Additionally, a high-ranking official from Turkey, the Vice President of Turkey, was also present at this ceremony.
