On the occasion of the arrival of Muharram, a commemoration ceremony mourning the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (a.s.) and his loyal companions was held with the cooperation of Iran’s Cultural Attaché and hosted by our country’s embassy in the Philippines.

In line with promoting the culture of Ashura and honoring Husayni rituals, a mourning ceremony for the Master of Martyrs was held with the enthusiastic presence of the devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) at the meeting hall of the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila.

At this ceremony, which was attended by nearly 200 lovers of the Husayni school of thought, in addition to the participation of Yousef Esmaeilzadeh, Iran’s Ambassador, staff of various institutions, students, Iranian residents and their families, a diverse representation of nationalities from Filipino, Pakistani, Iraqi, and Afghan communities was present, showcasing a manifestation of the unity of the Islamic ummah.

The speakers, while elaborating on the dimensions of the Husayni movement and focusing on the connection between the Ashura movement and contemporary developments, emphasized the following key points.
