Ashura International Foundation / Husayni Mourning News:
The ceremony was held in an atmosphere filled with grief, spirituality, reflection, and love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.), and participants honored this fateful and enduring day in Islamic history through listening to religious speeches, recitation of the Holy Quran, supplication, and participation in devotional and mourning programs.
Sheikh Sajjad Amani managed and led this gathering. In his speech, providing a profound explanation of the philosophy of the Ashura movement, he emphasized that Imam Hussein (a.s.) rose up to safeguard the religion of Islam, combat oppression and corruption, and revive the noble Islamic values.
Sheikh Sajjad also called upon the faithful to adhere ever more closely to the teachings of the Holy Quran and the AhlulBayt (a.s.), and noted that the message of Ashura will always remain a source of spiritual awakening, justice-seeking, and the struggle against all forms of oppression and tyranny in human societies.
Participants in this ceremony expressed their grief and devotion to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) through the recitation of elegies, lamentations, and sorrowful poetry, and supplicated to God Almighty to place them among the true followers of the school of Karbala and to keep them steadfast on the path of truth and justice.
This ceremony is part of the extensive mourning programs held by Shiites and devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in various parts of the world during the month of Muharram—rituals aimed at keeping alive the movement of Karbala and promoting the culture of sacrifice, justice, and Husayni mourning, serving as a manifestation of Muslim unity and love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.).
