Ashura International Foundation / Husayni Mourning News – June 25, 2025:

A mourning ceremony for the Master and Lord of the Martyrs, Imam Husayn (a.s.), was held with the presence of the devoted followers at the Imam Ali (a.s.) Mosque in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

In this ceremony, dozens of Shiites from Azerbaijani, Afghan, Pakistani, and Indian communities, along with their families, performed chest-beating and shed tears of grief in lamentation of the martyrs of Karbala and in keeping alive the memory of the Karbala event. In this ceremony, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mohammad Ma’refat and also Haji Ma’refat Shirinov, the Friday prayer leader, recounted aspects of the Karbala event. Since the beginning of Muharram, the devotees of Imam Husayn (a.s.) have gathered every night at the Imam Ali (a.s.) Mosque in Bishkek to mourn.
