On the occasion of Ashura, a commemoration ceremony mourning the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (a.s.) and his loyal companions was held at the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan.

Taheri, a staff member of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, recited poems in lamentation of Imam Husayn (a.s.), and then the mourners engaged in chest-beating and mourning.

Esmaeilzadeh, the Cultural Attaché of our country in Kazakhstan, while explaining the message of Ashura and the various dimensions of Imam Husayn’s (a.s.) uprising, emphasized the necessity of vigilance and awareness for the Shiites.

He referred to the significance and philosophy of mourning on Ashura and recounted the events and occurrences of Ashura in the style of Maqtal-khwani (recitation of martyrdom narratives).
