🌐 Iraq: 📚 Unveiling of the 40-volume encyclopedia “Selected Papers from Ten Scientific Conferences on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.”

The “10th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage” opened this afternoon, Friday, 23 Safar 1448 AH (August 7, 2026), at the holy shrine of Imam Husayn (a.s.).

The final program of this ceremony was the unveiling of a great encyclopedia containing the selected papers from all ten conferences.

This 40-volume collection was unveiled by Ayatollah “Seyyed Riaz al-Hakim,” a senior professor at the Qom Islamic Seminary, Mr. “Abdul Amir Aziz al-Quraishi,” the head of the Karbala Center for Studies and Research (the conference director), and Hojat al-Islam “Seyyed Ahmad Ashkouri,” a senior professor at the Najaf Islamic Seminary.

This collection encompasses the top papers from this scientific and research conference—from its first session in 2017 (1439 AH), held under the theme “Arbaeen Pilgrimage; Meanings and Indications,” to the 10th session held this year under the theme “Arbaeen Pilgrimage; A Civilizational Message in the Age of Digital Transformation”—and is an extremely valuable work.

The “Karbala Center for Studies and Research,” the scientific and research arm of the Holy Shrine of Imam Husayn (a.s.), has so far held ten international scientific conferences on the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This series of conferences has bridged the “humanities” and “applied sciences,” offering solutions on matters such as mega-events and population management.
