🌐 Iraq: 👥👥 The panel discussion “Arbaeen Pilgrimage: A Platform for Thoughtful Dialogue and Human Integration” was held.

The “10th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage” opened this afternoon, Friday, 23 Safar 1448 AH (August 7, 2026), at the holy shrine of Imam Husayn (a.s.).

Following the speeches of the opening ceremony, a panel discussion was held under the title “Arbaeen Pilgrimage; A Platform for Thoughtful Dialogue and Human Integration.”

The session was chaired by Dr. “Hadi al-Saidi” (from Iraq), and Hojat al-Islam wal-Muslimin “Seyyed Ahmad Ashkouri,” Dr. “Azza Karam” (from Egypt), and Dr. “Peter Pelikan” (a Christian scholar from the Czech Republic) participated in the discussion.

The panel participants examined the intellectual and human dimensions of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, as well as its role in promoting intercultural dialogue and consolidating the values of coexistence and human integration.

It is worth noting that the goal of holding the International Scientific Conferences on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage is to highlight the intellectual aspects of this blessed pilgrimage.

This series of conferences also seeks, through research findings, to offer ideas and recommendations that contribute to improving the management and services related to this great mega-event, and to strengthen its status as a human and civilizational phenomenon of global significance.
