🌐 Iraq: 🕌 Al-Abaiji: The goal of research should be to serve humanity and uphold human dignity.

Haj “Hassan Rashid al-Abaiji,” the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Husayn (a.s.), was the second speaker at the opening ceremony of the “10th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.”

Some of the points he raised in his remarks are as follows:

– By the grace of the steadfast positions of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (a.s.) and Lady Zaynab (s.a.), the efforts made throughout history to erase the memory and name of Imam Husayn (a.s.) have failed, and his call remains enduring and eternal.

– The uprising of Imam Husayn (a.s.) revived the human principles and values that the oppressive forces sought to destroy.

– Now, the great gathering and walk of Arbaeen has revived the authentic human values that time sought to erase.

– The cry of Imam Husayn (a.s.) against injustice and tyranny continues to inspire the free people of the world.

– Ideas put forward by researchers will not achieve their goal unless they are based on human values. Studies have true value when they focus on humanity and aim to serve humanity and uphold human dignity.

– Imam Husayn (a.s.) was the standard-bearer of Islam, peace, and the defense of the oppressed, and his story—from his departure from Mecca to the events of Karbala—is filled with eternal moments of humanity; therefore, it is incumbent upon us to promote the values and principles of that Imam and to institutionalize them at the heart of society.
