🌐 Iraq: 🇨🇿🇪🇬🇺🇸 From Prague and Cairo to New York and Los Angeles; for the love of Husayn (a.s.).

Two other participants in the panel discussion at the opening ceremony of the “10th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage,” held this afternoon, Friday, 23 Safar 1448 AH (August 7, 2026), under the title “Arbaeen Pilgrimage; A Platform for Thoughtful Dialogue and Human Integration,” were Dr. “Peter Pelikan” from the Czech Republic and Dr. “Azza Karam” from the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Peter Pelikan is an advisor to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and a professor at universities in his country—including the University of West Bohemia—who, in addition to his complete mastery of the Arabic language, has engaged in international activities and cultural studies in the field of religions and denominations, and has made numerous trips to various countries around the world for scientific collaborations and studies.

He holds two doctorates in philosophy—one from “Charles University (University of Charles)” in Prague, the oldest and largest university in the Czech Republic and one of Europe’s most prestigious universities, and the other from “Al-Azhar University” in Cairo, Egypt.

Dr. Azza Karam is also a professor at the “School of Diplomacy and International Relations” in Los Angeles, USA, and the director of the “Kahana Project” at the United Nations.

Originally from Egypt and a specialist in interreligious dialogue, she resides in the United States and also serves as the executive director of the “Lead Integrity Institute” in New York.
