Mourning rituals and processions carrying the “Holy Standard (Alam)” were held in various areas of the Kashmir Valley under the auspices of the “Shiite Sharia Association of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Tens of thousands of Husayni mourners participated in this magnificent ceremony, and the main mourning procession set out from the “Zuri Gund” area toward the Husayniyyah (Imambargah) in Budgam.

On the sidelines of this ceremony, Hojat al-Islam Sayyed Mujtaba Abbas al-Mousawi al-Safawi, addressing the mourners, elaborated on the objectives of the Karbala event and emphasized that adherence to Islamic teachings and the bounds of Sharia is a prerequisite and a sign of true love for the martyrs of Karbala.
