Concurrent with the arrival of Ashura, a mourning ceremony for Imam Husayn (a.s.) was held at the Blue Mosque in Yerevan with the widespread presence of Iranians residing in Armenia, devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Armenia, and a group of lovers of the Husayni school of thought.

Participants, by attending this procession and participating in the mourning programs, expressed their devotion and love to the status of Sayyed al-Shuhada (a.s.) (the Master of Martyrs) and the martyrs of Karbala.

Hojat al-Islam Morteza Javadi-Amoli, in his remarks, elaborated on the philosophy of the Ashura uprising, the status of love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.), and the necessity of having knowledge (ma’rifah) regarding the right of the Imam.

Referring to the status of love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the spiritual journey of human beings, he emphasized, “Love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) is not merely an emotion of the heart, but rather a path to perfection, knowledge, ethics, and true happiness.”

Javadi-Amoli, referring to passages from Ziyarat Ashura, described accompanying the Imam as one of the fundamental messages of Ashura and stated, “A human being, in relation to the Imam, should neither move ahead of him nor lag behind him; rather, true happiness lies in remaining steadfast, following, and accompanying the Imam.” Recalling the sacrifice of the companions of Sayyed al-Shuhada (a.s.) (the Master of Martyrs), he described the loyalty of Imam Husayn’s (a.s.) companions as a clear example of knowledge, love, and practical commitment to the Vilayah (guardianship).
