The International Ashura Foundation has republished the valuable work Anwar-e-Aqeedah, a collection of poems and reflections by the late Professor Dahr Meinder Nath, a distinguished Hindu poet, writer, and scholar from India.

According to the Foundation’s Education and Research Department, this book features heartfelt poetry and writings composed over many years by Professor Nath in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), Imam Ali (a.s.), Imam Hussain (a.s.), and the AhlulBayt (a.s.). His verses, imbued with sincerity and devotion, especially toward Imam Hussain (a.s.), were frequently published in prominent Indian journals. They called followers of all religions and sects to embrace the “essence of shared spiritual, ethical, human, social, and justice-seeking values of religions” and raised a voice against the tyranny of oppressors and global arrogance.

Professor Nath came from a family deeply attached to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and his pure household. His grandfather, father, and uncle also dedicated their lives to composing poetry in their honor. During a visit to Iran, Professor Nath presented to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, a poem by his late father, Gobi Nath, written in praise of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his blood-soaked revolution in Karbala.

The International Ashura Foundation, in honoring this devoted scholar—who always referred to himself as a “Hussaini Hindu”—republished Anwar-e-Aqeedah on the occasion of the 2023 Arbaeen Pilgrimage (1445 AH / 1402 SH). This new edition also includes other works by Professor Nath dedicated to the AhlulBayt (a.s.), such as Hamari Paighambar (“Our Prophet”), Hamari Ali (“Our Ali”), and Hamari Hussain (“Our Hussain”).

The republication was made possible with the support of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India, the original publisher of the book, and the Al-Mustafa International Research Institute. Following its distribution during the Arbaeen season, the book was officially unveiled in March 2024 at the opening ceremony of the International Festival ‘Ana Min Hussain’ in Tehran.
