The Iranian military has started launching ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation to a series of assassinations inside Iran and Lebanon.
Reportedly, Iran has so far launched 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Missiles have been launched from Isfahan, Tabriz, Khoramabad, Karaj, and Arak.
The decision to retaliate against Israel is made by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
Israel assassinated Palestinian Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31. In its massive airstrikes on Beirut, Lebanon, on September 27, Israel also assassinated Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, who acted as Iranian military advisor in Lebanon, and Lebanese Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
